mksteach asked: I have never posted on craigslist before and I am trying to sell several pieces of furniture. Craigslist warns against cashiers checks, but someone wants to buy a piece of my furniture and says that they only use cashiers checks. Is this a scam? Should I be cash only? Any advice will be appreciated!

Would it be stupid to call the company and tell them I found a job listing for their company on craigslist and I need to find out the name of the person hiring? Even when the listing says no phone calls please?

I like Australians asked: Hey I was just wondering what kind of steps I could take to begin buying and selling items on craigslist or ebay to make a profit. Like an entrepreneur.Keep in mind that i am only 15 and i am looking to get familiar with the economy. I already have used craigslist to buy and sell things so i am a little familiar with that.

pillsbury09mn asked: I want to buy a car (2002ish) from a used car lot of Craigslist for about 7k.
The problem is only the big dealerships offer the easy financing, and Craigslist and the smaller lots yield mostly to cash customers.
How could I finance a car from one of these? What’s a “lending institution” or something? It seems impossible!!
A specific service/website would be appreciated.
